Lawrence Berkeley National Lab's (LBNL) Nuclear Science Division has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team.
In this exciting role, you will work in the Relativistic Nuclear Collisions (RNC) program at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. You will work on both the physics analysis and instrumentation aspects of high energy nuclear physics.
What You Will Do:
Contribute to the physics analysis of STAR BES-II program.
Contribute to the future experiment project and/or physics development of the group.
Exercise independent judgment and contribute in an original manner at the professional level.
Publish papers/reports in refereed journals, and make verbal presentations of work.
Report results to supervisor.
What is Required:
Recent Ph.D. in Nuclear/High-Energy Physics or a related discipline within the last 3 years upon employment.
Experience with data analysis.
Proficiency in written and verbal dissemination of scientific results.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration in a research environment.
Notes:
This is a full-time 2 year postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory job performance, continuing availability of funds and ongoing operational needs. You must have less than 2 years of paid postdoctoral experience. Salary for Postdoctoral positions depends on years of experience post-degree.
This position is represented by a union for collective bargaining purposes.
Salary will be predetermined based on postdoctoral step rates.

Work will be primarily performed at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, 1 Cyclotron Road, Berkeley, CA.
