Visiting Assistant Professor of Business - PRODiG Post Doctoral Fellow

Empire State University seeks candidates for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position through the Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth plus (PRODiG+) Fellowship program. This post-doctoral Fellowship is designed to:

Increase the representation of diverse faculty committed to fostering an inclusive academic environment

Strengthen the pipeline for retention and support of these candidates

The successful candidate will join our dynamic department offering innovative programs to students across New York State and globally through our robust online platform. Teaching courses including International Business, Business Ethics, Business Law, and related subjects. This Fellowship features:

Reduced teaching load

Structured mentoring

Research support

Professional development opportunities

All designed to foster your growth as a teacher-scholar in our comprehensive university setting.

Priority consideration will be given to candidates who are:

Current SUNY students, alumni, and/or Fellows

From low-income backgrounds (e.g., Pell-eligible as undergraduates)

First-generation college students

Individuals who have overcome significant adversity

AmeriCorps alumni

Veterans

The PRODiG+ Fellowship is open to any and all prospective candidates regardless of race, color, national origin, or sex, and is consistent with all current governing federal and state nondiscrimination law. Job Requirements:

Eligibility Criteria:

Be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

PhD or relevant terminal degree in Business or closely related discipline from an accredited institution (completed prior to start date)

Demonstrated experience with promoting diverse and inclusive environments through one or more of the following:

Academic/scholarly work focused on diversity and inclusion topics

Professional work experience advancing inclusive initiatives

Volunteer/community service in underserved communities

Experience serving vulnerable populations

Other relevant diversity engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching and mentoring in online learning environments

Background in academic program development

Relevant industry and/or field experience

Knowledge of learning assessment and contemporary pedagogical approaches

Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English

Special Information:

Two-year, post-doctoral Fellowship

Flexible office hours to accommodate student needs

May require occasional evening/weekend engagement with students
