　　Postdoctoral Fellow – Immunology

　　A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dorina Avram in the Department of Immunology. . Projects include: (1) study transcriptional and epigenetic control in immune responses to infections and tumors; (2) epigenetic control of tumor immune populations, including in the context treatments; (3) regulatory mechanisms in immune-tumor cross talk with main emphasis on colon cancer.

　　Position Highlights:

　　We utilize genetically engineered mouse models, human samples, complex spectral flow cytometry, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques along with multi-omics approaches, including bulk and sc-RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, histone ChIP-seq and proteomics. Moffitt Cancer Center has state-of-the art facilities, including Flow Cytometry, Gene Targeting, Advanced Microscopy, Next Generation sequencing, Proteomics and Metabolomics, Chemical Biology, Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Transgenic Mouse and Small Animal Imaging Cores.

　　The Ideal Candidate:

　　·         Knowledge and experience in immunology is a must.

　　·         Experience in flow cytometry and molecular biology are necessary.

　　·         Mouse handling and husbandry is required.

　　·         Ability to interact in a highly multidisciplinary environment is a must.

　　·         Bioinformatics knowledge is a plus.

　　·         At least one first author research publication is a must.

　　Responsibilities:

　　·         Conduct experiments associated with the listed projects.

　　·         write manuscripts, reports and grant applications.

　　Credentials and Qualifications:

　　Motivated individual with a Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. and a strong background in immunology or cancer biology, biochemistry or genetics.
