　　One full-time postdoctoral associate position, funded through an NIH grant, is available. Duties involve conducting research in determining the mechanisms for weight loss associated with a popular dietary supplement. Candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in toxicology or other related areas. Research experience in rodent surgery, behavioral and metabolic testing, real-time RT-PCR, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry are preferred. Candidates will be part of a highly collaborative research environment. Candidates must hold visa to work in the US. NIH scale salary support is available. Rutgers New Brunswick Campus is located in a suburban area of central New Jersey with convenient access to major metropolitan areas including New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. 　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Education and Experience

　　Candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in toxicology or other related areas Also required are strong communication skills, a publication record consistent with career level. Proficiency in oral and written English is required.

　　Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

　　Equipment Utilized

　　Will use all of the typical laboratory equipment for biochemical, cellular and molecular biology experiments. Will use Excel spreadsheets, Word processing software, and graphing and statistical analysis software.

　　Physical Demands and Work Environment

　　Must be able to lift 20 pounds, and to have direct contact with rodents.
