Academic position in Robotics and Control

Reykjavik University - School of Science and Engineering

 

The School of Science and Engineering at Reykjavik University is looking to hire a faculty member in robotics and control, mechatronics or related fields. Position level can range from assistant professor to full professor, depending on the qualifications of the applicant.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields, be a passionate researcher with a clear vision to have impact in the field. A dedicated teacher with a relevant research laboratory experience and college level teaching experience and an interest and ability to teach courses such as system dynamics, control theory, and mechatronics project courses. As well as have a demonstrated ability to conduct, lead and collaborate on research projects that attract competitive external funding.

The candidate should be committed to contributing to further development of the department, and take on appropriate responsibilities at department and university level. Relocation assistance is offered.
