The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) of the University of Oxford is seeking to appoint two Postdoctoral Researchers. These positions provide an exciting opportunity to contribute the research of the Digital Ethics Lab (DELab) of the OII.

Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant discipline, such as philosophy (e.g., philosophy of technology, ethics, applied ethics, philosophy  of law), law, security studies, STS, and other social science disciplines (e.g., economics, international relations), or a mathematical science (e.g., computer science, data science). Excellent writing, presentation abilities, and analytical skills are required.

The two postdoctoral researchers will be based at the DELab, at the Oxford Internet institute, University of Oxford and collaborate with Professor Floridi and Dr Taddeo in order to (1) identify and analyse normative and regulatory aspects and design requirements underpinning the development and regulation of the use of digital technologies; (2) collaborate with the other members of the Digital Ethics Lab (DELab) at the Oxford Internet institute, University of Oxford; (3) consolidate collaborations about original and innovative solutions to foster ethical design and regulations of digital technologies.

Based in the heart of Oxford, these are a fixed-term positions lasting 16 months each and will available from 1 October 2018 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
