A postdoctoral research fellow opportunity is available in the Alejandro Gutierrez lab at Boston Children's Hospital.

We seek a highly motivated and productive individual to join our efforts to investigate molecular oncogenesis and discover novel therapeutic targets for treatment-resistant human cancers. Our approach combines genome-wide genetic screens with functional genetics and experimental therapeutics in genetically engineered zebrafish and patient-derived xenografts. Our lab consists of a diverse group of creative scientists who are committed to improving our understanding of the molecular aberrations underlying oncogenic transformation and chemotherapy resistance.

A PhD or MD/PhD degree is required, preferably with expertise in functional genetics or biochemistry. The ideal candidate will have a track record of scientific productivity, as evidenced by first-authored publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, as well as the scientific creativity and communication skills to make a positive contribution to a thriving intellectual environment.
