Post-doctoral Position in Cancer Genomics and Precision Medicine : Candiolo, Torino, Italy

A post-doctoral position is available for an independent, creative and highly motivated post-doctoral fellow to join a productive research group working on the development of innovative therapeutic and prognostic approaches in colorectal cancer。

The Laboratory of Translational Cancer Medicine at the Candiolo Cancer Institute, University of Turin, Italy, provides a unique training environment for both discovery-based and translational therapeutic cancer research. Current projects focus on investigating the molecular underpinnings of sensitivity and resistance to targeted therapies and elucidating mechanisms of drug tolerance in residual disease, using in vitro and in vivo approaches with patient-derived material.
In the frame of an ERC consolidator grant awarded to Dr. Andrea Bertotti, the successful applicant will fully utilize the superb technological capabilities of the lab and apply the tools developed to outstanding biological questions, in particular, how the adaptive reprogramming elicited by EGFR blockade is implemented at the single-cell level.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should hold a PhD or MD with a strong background in molecular biology, pharmacology, and human genetics, and documented experience with lineage-tracing experiments. Individuals with additional working knowledge of protein biochemistry, cell biology and/or genetics/genome editing techniques are strongly encouraged to apply. Excellent knowledge of English, good interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
