Job Description
One NIH funded postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Chen Chen at Michigan State University. The Chen lab studies the molecular mechanisms underlying germ/stem cell biology and infertility using knockout mice, molecular, biochemical, and genomics approaches. The lab is broadly interested in genes and pathways influencing germline stem cell self-renewal, differentiation, and fertility. Current projects focus on signal transduction in spermatogonial stem cells and the mechanism of the piRNA pathway.
The successful candidate should hold a recent Ph.D. in biological sciences with a research background in molecular biology, developmental biology, stem cell and reproductive biology, or mouse genetics. Preference will be given to applicants with strong research experience in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, stem cells, RNA biology, or knockout mouse models. |
