Postdoctoral Scientist – Neurobiology
Starting Salary £28,007 to £30,791 per annum 
Band Salary £27,355 to £32,648 per annum

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral scientist in the group of Dr Anne Bertolotti to work on an ongoing programme on selective serine/threonine phosphatase inhibitors (see Tsaytler et al., 2011, Science, 332, 91-4; and Das et al., 2015, Science, 348, 239-242).

Dr Anne Bertolotti's lab is interested in exploring the unexplored and pushing the boundaries of knowledge. Applicants should be enthusiastic, creative and passionate about science. Candidates should have a PhD in a molecular biology, biochemistry and biophysics or due to complete doctoral studies within 3 months of applying. Experience in protein biochemistry, enzymology, biophysics is required and this must best attested by impactful publications. Experience in cell biology, assay development and an interest in signalling and pharmacological manipulation of signalling pathways is desirable.

The research will be conducted at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK. The institute has a long history of excellence and is affiliated with the University of Cambridge. The new LMB building was recently inaugurated and offers state-of-the-art facilities.

Successful applicants will be awarded a 2-year Career Development Fellowship/MRC Postdoctoral Training Scheme. The fellowship is a training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, or is moving into a new research discipline.
