The Center for Cancer Research (CCR) in the National Cancer Institute has postdoctoral fellowships available in our basic, translational, and clinical research areas.

At CCR, we focus on high-risk, cutting-edge science, pursuing the most important — and most difficult — problems in the field. Our scientists work on a wide spectrum of biological and biomedical problems that range from visualizing and understanding the structure of individual genes and proteins and developing novel methods for drug discovery to inventing biomedical devices and technology and creating innovative ways to treat patients in the NIH Clinical Center.

As a postdoc in CCR, you’ll have opportunities to:

We are creating the cancer medicines of tomorrow.

Positions are typically funded for up to 5 years with an annual starting stipend for new postdocs of $67,200. Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent required. Eligibility requirements may vary by position. Applicants may be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident; international applicants may enter through the visiting program with sponsored visa with some exceptions. Applicants must have no more than 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
