Post-doctoral position - Cerebral cavernous malformations - Paris
Paris Brain Institute
The field of brain tumors has recently become closer to the field of vascular malformations with the recent discovery of oncogenic mutations in brain arteriovenous and cavernous malformations. I am a neurosurgeon at Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital in Paris, France and researcher at Paris Brain Institute working in the team « Genetics and development of brain tumors » and looking for a post-doctoral fellow to conduct a translational project on brain cavernous malformations, following my recent publication in the New England Journal of Medicine. The post-doctoral fellow would be the main person attached to the project, requiring a high level of scientific skills, autonomy, and a capacity to rapidly build collaborations inside the Institute. This project requires an expertise in genetically engineered mouse models and somatic mutations in human disease.
