美国丹那法伯癌症研究所博士后职位

Postdoctoral Research Fellow- Raghavan Lab

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI)

Postdoctoral Research Fellow- Raghavan Lab

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Boston, MA

Full Time

The Raghavan Laboratory at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School is seeking a highly motivated, creative, collaborative, and dedicated M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. postdoctoral research scholar to join the group. The Raghavan lab investigates how tumor cell transcriptional states shape cancer cell behaviors, microenvironmental interactions, and therapeutic sensitivity and resistance, with a primary focus in pancreatic and biliary cancers. We apply a variety of techniques including single-cell sequencing of patient samples and cell models, patient-derived organoid culture, high throughput drug testing, and CRISPR engineering with the long-term goal of identifying new state- and context-specific cancer vulnerabilities. We work closely with clinicians in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Center at DFCI to combine clinical observations and patient-derived data with rigorous basic science investigation to identify impactful translational advances that ultimately improve patient care. This position is offered at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in partnership with the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, located in Cambridge, MA. DFCI and the Broad Institute bring together world-renowned clinical and technological expertise to study cancer and to develop novel therapeutic approaches. Please include a letter of interest, CV, and list of 3 references in your application.

Responsibilities:

We utilize molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology approaches in both clinical samples and within a variety of cellular models to study transcriptional cell states, epigenetic regulation, genetic dependencies, and drug discovery.

In addition to significant experience in standard laboratory techniques (tissue culture, PCR, western blots, cloning, etc.), experience with organoid technologies, animal (mouse) models, single-cell RNA-seq/multiplexed imaging/spatial transcriptomics, epigenetics, and computational analysis of genomic and/or RNA sequencing data are preferred.

Qualifications:

Candidates who have demonstrated rigorous basic and translational research during their M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. training in a relevant field (biology, bioengineering, immunology, cancer biology, or equivalent) will be considered.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, dedicated, responsible, and a team player. They should possess excellent experimental planning and execution skills, good communications skills, and a desire to collaborate with others. They will lead independent research projects and be responsible for the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments, preparation of scientific presentations and publications, and help to train, supervise, and mentor technicians or students as needed.
