The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Marketing and Innovation is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in marketing.

Extent of employment: 40 hours per week Duration of employment: 1st of February 2023, limited to 31st of January 2029

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1 lit. b, € 4.061,50

The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, the Alma Mater Viridis, is a teaching and research centre for renewable resources, which are essential for human life. It is BOKU's task to make a key contribution to the conservation and protection of resources for future generations through its wide variety of expertise. Combining natural sciences, engineering and economic sciences, its aim is to in crease knowledge of the ecologically and economically sustainable use of natural resources. With more than 11,000 students and over 2,500 staff, BOKU is one of Europe's leading universities in the field of life sciences.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will take an active role in research activities of the institute

They will actively engage in international publication sin the field of marketing/consumer behavior in a sustainable economy with a focus on the food sector

In this context, they will build up or extend an international network of collaboration

They will contribute in applying for external project funds

They will teach classes in marketing at a bachelor/master level

Further, they will assist in supervising master and doctoral theses

Finally, they will assist the Institute in administrative agendas

Required skills and qualifications

Doctoral degree/PhD

Diploma degree in (I)Business administration, agricultural sciences, environmental and biological resource management, consumer psychology or related fields of study, each with a focus on marketing or other equivalent university degree

Publications in international journals (at the stage of acceptance or revision) with a focus on marketing/consumer behavior are further required

Desirable skills and qualifications

The candidate should also provide experience/knowledge in:

Working with international research groups

International research stays

Quantitative and/or experimental research methods

Teaching marketing/consumer behavior at bachelor or master level

Applying for research funding

An excellence command of English in writing and speaking

The ability to work in a self-organized environment

The willingness to participate in international conferences

Knowledge of the German language is beneficial but not crucial to the job
