Vandamme group) and genomic characterization of bacterial strains potentially interesting for bioremediation and development of specific qPCR assays.

The position is part of funded EU project entitled MIBIREM-Toolbox for Microbiome based Remediation (https: // cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101059260). The MIBIREM project starting from the 1st October 2022, brings together 11 European partners from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, representing academia and industry, and aims to generate a toolbox to develop applications for bioremediation microbiomes. The postdoc will do research on bacterial community diversity of cyanides, hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) and petroleum hydrocarbons (PHC) contaminated soils and groundwater.

The LIEC is a joint research unit (UMR 7360) created in January 2013, whose primary objective is to understand the functioning of continental ecosystems that have been heavily disturbed by human activity, with the aim of rehabilitating them. The successful candidate will join the EMMA team (Microbial Ecology of Anthropogenic Environments) under the direction of Dr. A. Cébron that focus on the impact of pollutants (organics and metals) on microorganisms at cellular, populational and community scales.
