Research focus in the Ginsberg Lab is molecular mechanisms of cell adhesion, with current emphasis on role of integrin activation in the development and stability of regulatory T cells (Tregs). That of the Chang Lab is cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying T lymphocyte fate specification. The present project focuses on new approaches to promoting Treg function in suppressing autoimmunity. A second goal is analysis of the phenotype genetically-modified mice that have a block in new signaling pathways in T cells. Candidates with a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D. or both) and strong background in cellular/molecular immunology are encouraged to apply. Experience with in vivo mouse models/procedures is required.

The University of California San Diego is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides a stimulating and collaborative environment for biomedical research.

The majority of the work will be performed in the Leichtag Building (see: https://tinyurl.com/58erkrxh) on the main campus of UCSD in La Jolla. The University, in combination with the La Jolla Immunology Institute, Scripps Research Institute, Salk Institute, and Sanford Burnham Discovery Institute provides an extraordinary environment for innovative biomedical research.

To apply please provide a cover letter (with statement of prior experience and research career goals), CV, and contact information for 3 references to
