美国纽约大学医学院博士后职位—癌症免疫学

Postdoctoral Fellow position available in Cancer Immunology NYU School of Medicine, New York

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Michelle Krogsgaard at the Department of Pathology and NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center, NYU School of Medicine in New York to work on a project focused manipulating T cell immune responses to cancer while maintaining specificity to avoid autoimmunity and off-target toxicity, which is recognized as one of the most important and challenging areas for clinical cancer immunotherapy.

The Krogsgaard laboratory are using novel cellular, imaging and biophysical methods to offer new insights into how robust and functional T-cell responses can be generated against tumors both in vitro and in vivo with the goal of designing new and innovative approaches to the prevention and treatment of cancer. Experimental approaches include cell and molecular biology techniques, live-cell imaging, biochemical and biophysical techniques such as recombinant protein expression, surface plasmon resonance, X-ray crystallography, molecular engineering and structural design, proteomics and chemistry, transgenic mouse models, in vitro T cell manipulations and transplantation into mice for tumor rejection studies.

Interested candidates should have a recent PhD degree in Immunology, Cancer Immunology or a related area. Experience in either basic cellular immunology, molecular biology, tissue culture, in vivo mouse cancer models and flow cytometry is an advantage. The successful candidate is expected to be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to multi-task, take initiative, start and complete projects; must be flexible and willing to function in a fast-paced and changing work environment; must be able to work with a variety of people with different backgrounds. Must be proficient in working with computers, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.

The laboratory is located in the Smilow Research Center: http://www.med.nyu.edu/smilowcenter/ , a new 13-story building with excellent research facilities on the NYU Medical School Campus located in mid-town Manhattan.

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience. Interested applicants should forward a cover letter, current and future research interests (max 1 page), curriculum vitae and the names, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of three references by e-mail to:
