About the Job Swinburne is embarking on an exciting journey, working towards our new vision of bringing people and technology together to build a better world. As the Postdoctoral Research Fellow you will support the delivery of the research projects led by Professor James Ogloff, Acting Dean, School of Health Sciences, member of the Centre for Forensic Behavioural science & Executive Director of Psychological Services & Research at Forensicare.

The Centre is Australasia's leading centre for excellence in the areas of forensic mental health and forensic behavioural science research, teaching and practice development, bringing together academics, clinicians, researchers and students from a variety of disciplines.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will contribute to publications, new or existing research or evaluation projects, and present findings for dissemination to key internal and external audiences.

This role is a 6-month appointment with full-time hours, with the potential scope to consider offering a part-time arrangement for a longer appointment.

About you To be suitable for the role you will have:

  A doctoral qualification Psychology, Criminology, or a related discipline, in conjunction with relevant research or evaluation experience

  Experience in designing and conducting research/evaluation independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

  Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research/evaluation design in forensic psychology, criminology and mental health service delivery

  Experience in research/evaluation fieldwork including the development and distribution of surveys and qualitative data collection through interview or focus groups
