Job Description

Duties:

Designs, performs, and analyzes experiments consistent with project objectives.

Mentors students on analyzing and preparing data results.

Attends scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement.

Prepares data for publication and presentation.

Coordinates laboratory activities. Maintains laboratory instrumentation and follows applicable safety standards.

Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

Doctoral (PhD) degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics

Proven record of research in Physics, Optics, Photonics area and strong publications

Preferred Experience:

Research expertise with entangled photons; squeezed light; single photon sources; quantum metrology, imaging and microscopy

Required Knowledge Abilities and Skills:

Excellent scientific writing ability

Good Communication skills

Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.

Appointment: The initial appointment will be for two years but could be extended. The starting date is expected to be June 1, 2022.
