The University of Perugia, founded in 1308, has a long-standing history of excellence in healthcare science, and particularly in hematology. The Department of Medicine and Surgery with the recently built Center for Research in Hematology and Oncology (CREO) hosts several research groups, including two ERC-funded laboratories, and represents an ideal environment for the development of innovative research projects.

What we offer

We offer a post-doctoral position from Jan 2022 onwards (up to 3.5 years) in the Brunetti Lab @ UniPG. Salary will be higher than the average for this position in Italy.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a motivated post-doc with at least 3 years of experience for a highly translational research project funded by a Start-Up grant from the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC). The research project is focused on the epigenetic regulation of transcription in acute myeloid leukemia. A strong background in molecular biology is required and experience with next-generation sequencing techniques is preferred. Fluent English is required. Experiments will be coordinated and performed by the post-doc, who is expected to acquire scientific independence during his fellowship.
