Title
Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics, Genomics, and Human Genetics
Description
The Phanstiel Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (http://phanstiel-lab.med.unc.edu/) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to develop and apply computational tools to study gene regulation in human development and disease. We are particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms through which enhancers and three-dimensional chromatin structure alter transcriptional output during cellular processes. The applicant will develop new tools and apply them to unpublished Hi-C, QTL, MPRA, and other genomic data sets to investigate the genetic underpinnings of Alzheimer’s Disease, leukemia, and osteoarthritis. We encourage applicants with experience in computational analysis and integration of genomic data sets. We have amazing data sets, 2 NIH-funded grants, recent papers in Molecular Cell / Cell Systems / Nature, and a friendly, inclusive, and supporting work environment.
