Research Fellow In Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopy

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in biomolecular NMR and structural biology? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?

Joining the laboratory of Professor Alex Breeze at the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology, you will fill a 6-month vacancy for an experienced NMR spectroscopist to work between two externally-funded projects involving protein dynamics and interactions. Your contribution will entail methyl-resolved NMR studies, targeted mutagenesis and labelling, and acquisition of residual dipolar coupling (RDC) data to probe dynamics and interactions of two protein systems of interest in the lab. For at least one of the projects, your contribution will also involve completion of a manuscript for publication. Exceptional facilities are available in Leeds to support the project, including state-of-the-art, cryoprobe-equipped NMR spectrometers operating at 950, 750 and 600 MHz.

You should have a PhD (or close to completion) in biomolecular NMR or a closely allied discipline, with experience in protein expression and labelling and use of methyl-resolved NMR methods for study of large proteins.
