The Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics (RSFAS) in the ANU College of Business and Economics invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow (Academic Level A4) on a full time fixed-term appointment of 3 years, commencing in August 2021.

The position is offered in connection with the research project “Statistical machine learning” between ANU and Data61 (CSIRO). This Data61 funded postdoctoral fellow will collaborate with the project leader on research projects within the primary themes and topics of the project, namely modelling and statistical machine learning. These projects can range widely from development of statistical theory and methodology, to implementation, statistical computing and software packages, and applied research in select interdisciplinary areas. Many of these projects will involve joint research with other members of the research school and Data61.
