Postdoctoral positions are available at Bhushan lab in the Diabetes Center at UCSF to investigate how the immune system senses and tunes its response to senescent cells in diseases and aging. Familiarity with modern cell and molecular biology techniques coupled with good communication skills is ideal. Post doc fellows receive broad training in learning to use research skills with an interdisciplinary approach. The collegiality and interdepartmental organization at UCSF foster state of the art research and provides for rigorous training. A stint in the lab provides training for careers in academia or builds entrepreneurial skills for biotech.
