Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cancer Therapeutics at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School
The D’Amato Lab of the Vascular Biology Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to help design new chemical and peptide entities for the treatment of cancer and other angiogenesis dependent diseases. The laboratory has a long history of drug discovery in cancer therapeutics and has chaperoned four drugs into clinical trials, of which three are now FDA approved. The project involves designing chemicals and peptides to modulate novel targets recently identified through genetic screening strategies. The ideal postdoc will have graduate training in medicinal chemistry or peptide chemistry with an interest in drug development. Additional experience with cheminformatics, pharmacology and molecular biology is helpful. Candidates should be able to work independently and have strong English writing skills. Salary is commensurate with experience. The position is available immediately for two years with potential for renewal and is fully funded with comprehensive benefits.
