英国牛津大学CT-脑成像分析博士后职位

Postdoctoral Research Fellow: CT-Brain Imaging Analysis

University of Oxford

Description

Postdoctoral Research Fellow: CT-brain imaging analysis

Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford Grade 7: £32,817 - £40,322 p.a.

We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow in CT-brain imaging analysis to work with Professor Sarah Pendlebury, Professor Mark Jenkinson and Associate Professor Nele Demeyere on their research project ‘semi-automated CT-brain imaging analysis'. The pipeline for obtaining real-world CT brain imaging, image processing and storage has been established and good initial has been made on brain extraction, haemorrhagic stroke lesion delineation and measurement of whole brain volume with the first paper currently under review.

The successful applicant would continue the work that has been started in using advanced imaging analysis techniques to develop a semi-automated process for reading standard NHS-acquired CT brain scans to facilitate stroke lesion mapping and measurement of lesions, white matter disease and atrophy. This tool will have widespread translational application to real-world cohorts, particularly of older people, in which measures of cerebrovascular burden and brain ageing are required.

The postholder will manage their own academic research and administrative activities including small scale project manage, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. They will also be leading the adaption of supervised machine learning methods, previously developed in WIN, to give a probabilistic output for segmentation of CT-brain stroke lesions.

It is essential that the successful applicant hold a Masters degree or PhD in a relevant quantitative domain, such as engineering, physics, mathematics, statistics etc. They must also have experience with image analysis or data science methodology and expertise in programming with Matlab, python, C++ and/or shell scripting. It would be beneficial to the position if the postholder has knowledge of image analysis techniques and machine learning.

The post is full-time for a fixed-term of 12 months in the first instance.

Only applications received before 12.00 midday on 6th April 2021 will be considered.

Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
