英国剑桥大学分子生物学、生物化学方向博士后职位

Research Associate (Fixed Term)

University of Cambridge

Description

Research Associate (Fixed Term)

A postdoctoral position is available in the Waller laboratory to work on a Moore Foundation-funded project pursuing a mechanistic understanding of the process of endosymbiosis. The project will use hyperLOPIT technology to generate spatial proteomic atlases from dinoflagellate algae that represent models of multiple stages of endosymbiont integration within a host cell. These data will be integrated with other systems biology data including gene and protein regulatory programmes for a comprehensive understanding of how these symbioses are established. The project will be based in the University of Cambridge, Department of Biochemistry, Central Cambridge.

The successful candidate will have a PhD and experience in molecular biology and biochemistry, including proteomics methods. Knowledge and experience with unicellular algae will be an advantage but not a requirement. Ability to work both as part of a team, and independently, coupled with excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are required.

The position is available from May 2021 and is funded for 3 years in the first instance.
