We seek to use diverse approaches in genomics, bioinformatics, synthetic biology, molecular biology, and microbiology. Our goals are to understand the complexity of our body’s microbial communities and use this information to manipulate the microbiome for therapeutic ends.

Said postdoctoral fellow can fit into any one of the major endeavors of the lab:

-Developing computational methods for analysis of large-scale metagenomic data, in particular, uncharacterized space.

-Developing CRISPR/Cas-based tools leveraging synthetic biology for microbiome engineering

-Microbiome and microbial metabolomic modeling computationally, experimentally, and with mice

-Organoid/germ-free mouse examination of host-microbiome interactions
