Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 2 or UCD Research Fellow within UCD Innovation Academy.

The UCD Innovation Academy are looking for a Post-doctoral Researcher who is able to combine active involvement in designing experiential education with systematic analysis of what works and how it can be improved. You must be committed to a wider transition to impact-driven higher education, and to contribute with sound impact evaluation and practical applicable insights. You will be playing a key role in a major strategic collaboration between UCD and TU Dublin (funded under the HEA Human Capital Initiative pillar 3, project title Convene), ensuring that learning is shared between the two Universities.

The education programmes of the Innovation Academy adopt an approach of experiential, action-based learning, in which relationships with, and contributions from, practitioners, industry experts and entrepreneurs play a fundamental role in the student learning experience. Foundational to our programmes are creativity, empathy, design thinking, leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Both the Convene project and the Innovation Academy share the ambition to develop and support initiatives aimed at developing and strengthening impact-driven education, to design them in co-creation with staff and enterprise partners, and to evaluate and refine them. It is our ambition to lead the transition towards more impact-driven education in an evidence-informed way. To develop a strong knowledge base, to organise the cycle of developing, testing, evaluating and refining forms of experiential education and to make the step from exploration towards mainstreaming, we are looking for a Post-doctoral Researcher as our Impact Analyst for the Convene project. By capturing, analysing and sharing this knowledge, the Impact Analyst will further fuel the transition towards innovation and agility in higher education.

PD2 Salary: €45,942 - €50,030 per annum

Research Fellow Salary: €55,811 - €60,814 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
