College of Optometry invites applications for a NIH-funded postdoctoral position for collaborative research in the laboratories of Drs. Jose-Manuel Alonso and Stewart Bloomfield. The research program uses molecular, histological, imaging, behavioral and electrophysiological techniques to study mechanisms of encoding and transmission of visual information in the retina and visual cortex of both animal models and human subjects. Applicants should have a strong background in neuroscience and past experience in electrophysiological techniques is preferred.
