德国研究博士后职位
Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research
Stuttgart Center for Electron Microscopy
Available post doctoral position at the NanoBeam Group of the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, Stuttgart, Germany
NanoBeam is an independent group headed by Dr. Nahid Talebi, funded by the European Research Council and the Max Planck Society. We seek researchers with an outstanding background in physics, physical chemistry, or electrical engineering, to help the PI to control the interaction of electron beams and light with functional materials. The ambition of the NanoBeam group is to develop a novel spectral interferometry technique with electron beams to characterize and control the mechanisms of charge and energy transfer in functional materials.
Eligibility
Applications are invited from highly qualified scientists with a proven track record. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in physics or related fields and have experience in working with scanning electron microscopes. Previous experience with in-situ experimental setups and a cathodoluminescence system is highly beneficial.
Job description
The experimental work involves design and realization of a nanorobotic system for the purpose of loading and positioning an electron-driven photon source and performing experiments using the developed system, in collaboration with other members of the group. Salary and benefits
The position is funded by the recently awarded prestigious ERC starting grant. The initial contract is for one year, renewable for up to a total of five years. The salary is commensurate with experience.
For scientific questions the applicant can directly contact the PI: n.talebi@fkf.mpg.de
