　　The Department of Preventive Medicine of University of Southern California (USC) is in search of two post-doctoral fellows.

　　We seek two motivated scientists to join our ongoing studies on cancer genomics and epigenomics. Recent Ph.D. graduates with successful publication record in scholarly journals are encouraged to apply.

　　Position 1: We seek a post-doctoral fellow with a strong background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or biostatistics. Computational skills, including experience with bioinformatic tools and packages, are needed. Experience with data mining, especially for ‘omics’ datasets, or developing pipelines/software for large biological datasets is an asset but not a requirement. A good working knowledge of cellular and molecular biology is a plus.

　　Position 2: We seek a post-doctoral research fellow who is proficient in using routine molecular biology techniques for epigenetic/epigenomic studies. Hands-on experience with high throughput assays to detect aberrant DNA methylation and/or histone modifications is a plus. Priority will be given to those who have prior work experience with microarray- or next generation sequencing-based platforms.
