美国密苏里大学博士后职位
A post-doctoral fellow position is available at University of Missouri (MU) to investigate vascular endothelial cell (EC) metabolism and vascular-neuron-glial cells communication using neuroretina as a model system. This research scholar will focus on how glucose metabolism and exosomes signal regulate the dynamic interactions among different retinal cell types and how their abnormal alterations lead to retinal diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy. Through these studies, we aim at developing novel therapeutic opportunities by discovering new regulatory metabolites and targeting specific genes/proteins as well as signaling pathways. As a new direction, we are particularly interested in PPP pathway in EC and exosome-mediated retinal cell communication. Skills on mass spectrometry, flow cytometry and mammalian cell cultures are mandatory. Stipend is standard according to NIH guidelines, along with heavily subsidized medical care and dental care plans in accordance to MU health regulations. The position is contracted on yearly bases, renewable for up to a total of 5 years pending on availability of funds, qualification of performance, and necessity of the position. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology or related areas. MU is an equal opportunity employer. Interested individuals please submit application to Dr. Huang at huang_hu@hotmail.com….
