HBHL Postdoctoral Fellowships, McGill University
Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives (HBHL) is an interdisciplinary program built on McGill University’s scientific excellence and global leadership in neuroscience and neuroinformatics. This initiative is funded through the Canadian government’s Canada First Research Excellence Fund. HBHL is applying advanced computational strategies and brain imaging technologies to improve our understanding of the brain, its dynamic circuitry and the mechanisms of brain disorders. HBHL fosters a culture of open data-sharing in the search for new therapeutic interventions that can be customized to the individual patient’s brain.
About the program:
HBHL’s Postdoctoral Fellowships Program recruits top postdoctoral fellows from across disciplines to participate in interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research training opportunities related to brain and mental health research, knowledge translation/mobilization and innovation. Up to eight fellowships will be awarded in 2019.
Eligibility:
The applicant’s research project must be aligned with HBHL’s goals and relate to at least one of the research themes (Neuroinformatics; Mechanistic Models of Neurodegenerative Disease; Applied Cognitive Neuroscience of Brain Plasticity; and Population Neuroscience and Brain Health). Applicants must have obtained their PhD (or equivalent) by the award start date, and no more than two years prior.
