　　The King Lab in the Department of Zoology, Oxford is seeking two Postdoctoral Researchers as part of an ERC Starting Grant (COEVOPRO) to work on symbiosis, infection, and coevolution.

　　The postholders will experimentally coevolve C elegans with colonising bacteria that kill or protect the host. Phenotypic assays of coevolution, as well as bioinformatics and gene-editing, will be used to fully elucidate the patterns and processes of coevolving protective symbioses, and assess impacts on parasite infection outcomes.

　　The postholders will report to the PI and be a member of a research group with responsibility for carrying out research that uses experimental evolution, microbiology, and bioinformatics. The postholders will work collaboratively on the different experiments in COEVOPRO. The postholders will provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including postdocs, research assistants, technicians, and PhD and project students.

　　The successful candidates should hold a PhD/DPhil with expertise in experimental evolution, molecular microbiology, or bioinformatics.

　　The posts are full-time, fixed-term starting 1 February 2019 for 3 years.
