Job Description

Postdoctoral positions are available for highly-motivated and enthusiastic individuals in the laboratory of Sean Post, Ph.D., in the Department of Leukemia at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. The Post Laboratory focuses on the identification of novel tumor suppressors and oncogenes that drive hematologic malignancies and the development of pre-clinical strategies to will lead to clinical trials. Additional laboratory interests include the development of a comprehensive understanding of how specific gene alterations impact cancer progression, fundamental biologic processes, and cellular differentiation. Interested applicants should have experience in either cancer genetics, cell biology, translational research, bioinformatics, and/or biochemistry. Successful applicants must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as have the ability to conduct research both independently and as part of a collaborative group. Priority preference will be given to recent graduates.

The salary for this position is commensurate with NIH guidelines.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a recent Ph.D (or equivalent) with at least one first author publication in a high quality journal. Prior training in cell biology, oncology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or biochemistry is highly preferred.
