Job Description
Conduct lab research in understanding the molecular mechanism underlying the maintenance of genome stability and tumorigenesis using cell/molecular biology and animal model approaches in Dr. Weihang Chai’s laboratory. Work with the Principal Investigator to prepare research results and write summaries of results in manuscript form for publications and in graphics form for presentation at research meetings and for grant proposals. Maintain and ensure compliance with regulatory protocols and records related to biosafety and radiation material safety.Required Qualifications: A PhD degree in molecular biology, cell biology, cancer biology, or related biological discipline. Ability to perform basic statistical data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong research experience in molecular biology, including qPCR, RT-PCR, western blotting, southern blotting, molecular cloning, expressing and purifying recombinant proteins, co-IP, ChIP, RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9 technology, etc. Experience with cell biology including tissue culture and working with fluorescence microscopes. Experience with mice breeding and analyzing tumor formation in vivo is a plus. Experience in basic mechanistic study related to DNA damage/repair or DNA replication is preferred.
