Job Description
A NIH-funded lab at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), is inviting application for a postdoctoral position. The incumbent will study the molecular mechanisms of cellular reprogramming, and molecular regulation of pluripotency (Nature Communications, 10.1038/ncomms10869; Cell Reports, 10.1016/j.celrep.2016.08.060; Stem Cells and Development, 10.1089/scd.2015.0321, 10.1089/scd.2013.0620, 10.1089/scd.2013.0621; Blood, 10.1182/blood-2010-07-298331; Science, 10.1126/science.1172482). Strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology is required. Experience in stem cell biology or iPSC reprogramming is preferred but not necessary. Applicants should have a recent PhD/MD degree in biological/medical sciences with at least one first-author publication in respected professional journals.
