The Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine at RUTGERS – New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow on cardiovascular research. Qualifications: M.D. and/or Ph.D. and/or DVM in a related field required. Must possess good surgical skills on small and large animal thoracotomy or laparotomy surgeries. Must possess good skills in computer and data analysis. U.S. citizen, green card or visa required. Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends when necessary to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities: Under direction of the two Principal Investigators, performs surgery in large or small animal thoracotomy or laparotomy, pre and post op care, basic scientific research activities involved in animal physiology, cellular and molecular biology and biochemistry.
