Postdoctoral Associate
A NIH-funded position in mucosal immunology is currently available to study the mechanisms of protection against pulmonary bacterial infections. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to be involved in basic and translational research using novel live vector vaccines for brucellosis. Studies will involve the identification of mucosal lymphocytes responsible for memory T cell responses to our vaccines. Applicants must have a Ph.D., D.V.M., or M.D. in immunology, microbiology, or related discipline, and the ability to design experiments relevant to testing and analyzing immunization modalities. Preferred candidates should have cellular immunology, microbiology, and BSL-3 containment experience. UF houses state-of-the-art core facilities in flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, genomics, and proteomics. Salary commensurate with level of experience.
