摘要:

One fully-funded postdoctoral position is available for a highly-motivated individual to study cancer immunotherapy at the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute. The position is in the lab of James N. Kochenderfer. Projects will focus on translational research aimed at developing new chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies for cancer. The overall goal of the group is improving chimeric antigen receptor therapies for hematological malignancies. A wide variety of activities are carried out by the group including development of new chimeric antigen receptors, optimizing gene therapy technologies, cellular immunology including in vitro and ex vivo studies, murine models of hematological malignancies, and clinical trials of chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapies. Applicants must have experience with flow cytometry and working with mice. Interested candidates must have a doctoral degree with four years or less of postdoctoral experience, and applicants must have a background in T-cell immunology. A willingness to work hard including sometimes working on weekends is expected. A candidate with experience in CRISPR technology is desired. One focus of projects for this position will be studying the importance of various cytokines on CAR T-cell toxicity and efficacy.
