At the Faculty of Science, Department of Physics, Institute of Theoretical Physics the Chair of Theory of Condensed Matter offers a position as

Research Associate / Postdoc
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting as soon as possible. The position is limited for 3 years. The period of employment is governed by Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualifications (e.g. habilitation thesis).

Tasks: research in model-based condensed matter theory, preferably on topological (semi-) metals, topological and unconventional superconductors, transport in extended systems and nanostructures or current topics in magnetism; teaching obligations.

Requirements: university degree in physics; doctorate in theoretical physics; in-depth knowledge in condensed matter theory; proficiency in German or English; ability and motivation for doing outstanding research both independently and in collaborations, e.g. in Collaborative Research Center SFB 1143.
