Description of Position
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nunzio Bottini in the Clinical and Translational Research Institute of the University of California San Diego. The project is focused on the role of tyrosine phosphatases in the pathogenesis of systemic sclerosis. Training in a range of cellular biology approaches and in assessment of mouse models of fibrosis will be provided. The position is available immediately.

Qualifications Required/Academic Background
Candidates must have obtained within the last three years or be close to obtaining a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in biochemistry, cellular biology or a related field. At least one first author publication in an international peer-reviewed journal is required. Previous training in biophysics is desirable but not required.
