南加州阿尔茨海默病研究博士后位置
We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral candidate with a strong background in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology in the area of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) at University of Southern California. Our research focuses on understanding how apolipoprotein E4 contributes to AD pathology. The candidate will work on the interaction of apoE4 with brain lipid metabolism; focusing on ABCA-1 mediated lipidation of apoE and its effect on brain DHA transport.
University of Southern California is one of the leading institutions in the world in AD. It houses the Laboratory of Neuroimaging (LONI), and world class research laboratories in both clinical and basic AD investigations with strong support from NIH.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in neuroscience. A successful candidate should have experience working with transgenic AD mice models. The work will require experience in cell culture, molecular biology, microscopy, and transfections. In addition, the post doc will have the responsibility of supervising students and technicians in the lab.
