摘要:

Senior Scientist position (5 years) at the Danish Cancer Society Research Centre (DCRC)

The Brain Tumor Biology Group at the Danish Cancer Society Research Centre (DCRC) invites applications for a senior scientist position in a dynamic, international and competitive environment. The position is financed by a 5-year Hallas-Møller Investigator Research Grant entitled: ‘Functional interplay between replication stress-induced genomic instability and cellular hierarchies in therapeutic resistance of glioblastoma’. This research programme aims to reveal how genomic instability driven by replication-transcription conflicts contributes to cellular heterogeneity and therapeutic resistance. We will use established human primary cell cultures and mouse xenografts in combination with state of the art techniques to fulfil the goals of this project.

The Job
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated PhD or equivalent with ample postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record.

Education Required
• PhD degree in Molecular/Cellular Biology or similar
• Experience as Post-doc in at least two internationally renowned Research Centers for comprehensively at least two years
• Very good written and spoken English communication skills

Qualifications
• Strong experience in the field of DNA repair, chromatin remodeling, replication stress and/or cancer stem cells
• Excellent technical skills and strong expertise with molecular, biochemical and cellular biology-based techniques preferably including either ChIP-/RNA-sequencing or SILAC/MS proteomics
• Experience with primary cell culture and mouse xenograft models

Place of Employment
You will be part of an international, inspiring and informal work environment. We have in-house seminar series with national and international speakers. We have workshops focusing on a variety of scientific topics and group meetings at the unit level. Our research facilities include newly build laboratories with in-house access to state of the art equipment. The DCRC is part of the Danish Cancer Society and located close to the centre of Copenhagen. The personnel benefits include a canteen serving healthy food and a daily selection of fruits as well as possibilities to engage in sport activities and an art club. The work place is smoke-free

About us
The Brain Tumor Biology Group is one out of 3 junior research groups in the Danish Cancer Society Research Center (DCRC). The research carried out in Brain Tumor Biology Group focuses on understanding the molecular pathways involved in the therapeutic resistance of malignant brain tumors – glioblastomas (GBM). We investigate how targeting DNA damage responses modulate GBM’s resistance to existent therapies.
