The selected candidate will be working on a challenging project in the fields of Plasmonics and nano-Optics. The main aim will be the development of radically new optical methods for bio-detection with extreme sensitivity.
The approach relies on the combination of plasmonic nanostructures, nanopores, and metamaterials for the squeezing of the electromagnetic field at the nanoscales and advanced spectroscopies for bio-detection.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in physics, engineering or related disciplines.
We expect previous experience with modeling platforms (e.g., COMSOL or Lumerical). Expertise in nanofabrication will be considered as a plus.
The post doc will be in charge of designing novel optical methods, manly based on nano-plasmonics, devoted to the manipulation of the electro-magnetic field at the nanoscales. …
