美国 Petrascheck Lab 助理研究员职位
The Petrascheck Lab is currently searching for a motivated post-doc interested in the mechanisms of action of antipsychotics and their role in aging. The lab is part of the Department of Chemical Physiology at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla California. We integrate technologies from various disciplines like drug discovery, C. elegans neurobiology and mouse genetics to study how small molecules affect aspects of aging and lifespan control. Our lab uses C. elegans to dissect the mechanisms underlying drug action, and then ask whether similar effects are observed in cell culture and mouse. We are currently looking for a candidate with expertise in mouse genetics and / or C. elegans genetics in metabolism, aging or stress. The Scripps Research Institute is a highly collaborative place that provides excellent individual career development opportunities and access to cutting edge technologies.
You are about to complete your PhD or have completed your PhD within the last 3 years in genetics, neurobiology, chemical biology, molecular biology or a similar field.
Your expertise lies in working with mice and / or C. elegans. Prior experience in the field of aging neurobiology or stress is a plus but not required. You are expected to work independently, to reliably plan and execute experiments and to adjust to a highly flexible and interdisciplinary environment. Don't forget to bring a sense of humor and adventure.
Postdoctoral candidates please contact Michael Petrascheck by e-mail (pscheck@scripps.edu) with a brief statement regarding your previous work and expertise, future interests, CV and contact information for three letters of recommendation.
