英国博后研究助理牛津大学计算机视觉Computer Vision
We are seeking a full time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Visual Geometry Group at the Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford. The post is funded by Continental Corporation and is fixed-term for 2 years.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning research projects. You will develop new deep learning algorithms for highly-reliable visual object detection, semantic image segmentation, human pose and action understanding, and similar. You will write algorithms and manage your own academic research. The successful candidate will be embedded in Oxford Information Engineering Department, home to some of the most successful international computer vision groups. He/she will be given the opportunity for personal development beyond research, for example by contributing to departmental teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He/she is also expected to contribute to the supervision of DPhil (PhD) students.
While the aim is to develop core machine learning algorithms for core computer vision problems, the candidate can expect his/her research to be a major innovation driver for Continental’s applications to automotive.
Candidates should have (or be about to complete) a PhD in a relevant field. Candidates are expected to have a solid background in deep learning and computer vision, a strong personal drive towards innovation and leadership, and the ability to develop high-performance algorithms both theoretically and practically. A solid publication record in top-tier computer vision and machine learning conferences is expected.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Andrea Vedaldi (email: vedaldi@robots.ox.ac.uk with subject “Continental PDRA”).
