Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to conduct and contribute to research projects focused on hypothesis driven cohort studies involving cases enrolled on ongoing NIH funded Phase III CLEAR and MISTIE trials overseen by U Chicago team, and help plan and execute biomarker and clinical trials in cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM). Further, this Postdoctoral Scholar may be required to teach research techniques to new lab staff members, and to write scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and regulatory documents under the direction of the PIs.
Minimum qualifications include: a doctorate degree in medicine, biostatistics, public health sciences or a related field; experience in programming and utilizing computer software and hardware is a plus; experience with basic statistical concepts and publication in related field; familiarity in hemorrhagic stroke and cerebrovascular malformation clinical and imaging features is preferred; and demonstrated record of effective verbal and written communication skills, including one-on-one and group communications with colleagues both inside and outside of the lab; and a desire to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
