摘要:

Our multi-disciplinary group of engineers, physicists, and neuroscientists is seeking highly qualified post-doctoral candidates to work at the Yale PET Center on kinetic modeling, data analysis and visualization projects related to three current NIH-funded projects:

“Imaging sex differences in smoking-induced dopamine release via novel PET methods” (R01DA038709),

“PET-derived 'Dopamine Movies' of Early-Stage Addiction to Cigarette Smoking: A Pilot Study” (R21DA040852), and

“PET imaging of Naltrexone Occupancy of Kappa Receptors in Heavy Drinkers”(R01 AA021818).

We currently have openings for post-docs. Appointment is for one year with possibility for re-appointment.

The PET Center at Yale University Medical School is one of the most active, most productive PET centers in the world. The PET Center is part of the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging.

The lab of Professor Evan Morris devises kinetic models and new kinetic modeling techniques to study addiction and cancer with PET imaging. The lab works in close collaboration with many other Principal investigators at Yale including Professors Kelly Cosgrove, Suchitra Krishnan-Sarin, and Joseph Contessa. Professor Morris will be interviewing candidates at the upcoming SNMMI (June, San Diego), NRM (Boston, July) and APA (Denver, August) until the position(s) are filled. Candidates are advised to schedule an appointment ahead of time.

The competitive candidate must have excellent knowledge of mathematical modeling, programming, medical imaging and neuroscience. Candidates should have a PhD in a multi-disciplinary subject such as Biomedical Engineering or Neuroscience or have a degree in another engineering or physics discipline with significant medical/biological training. Candidates must have excellent quantitative, computer programming, and communications skills.
